Once rural buildings, such as old barns and mills, many have been subsumed into the urban fabric as agriculture declined in importance through the last century. This example of a barn that has been extensively altered over its long history, being converted into a residence in the 1950’s. It required the kind of intervention to make it work for the family today. This involved a contemporary glass pavilion to the garden side to make the most of wonderful views across the rolling landscape.
